Another Great Training Call Last Night

Well, last nights call was jam packed with excellent information. I am very excited about the product Alex has created for us. He has put together as fa fntasic system. I worked on getting my website up all day — I came across a few hurdles along the way as this is all new to me. I have always been pretty good with working through things online but this stuff is all new territory for me!!!
As I mentioned, I worked all day but have not yet gotten my page up because I ran into a problem that I am stuck with and I was hoping my friend Steven would be able to help me but we keep missing one another online… which would figure!! LOL I got stuck ont he FileZilla part — I cannot connect to the server. I think it may have something to do with my new domain (robin-pike.net) not being hooked up to my host (host gator) yet. I went to You Tube to see if I could figure it out but all that did was confuse me even more.
I figured tomorrow is another day and I will start fresh in the morning and go at it again — here I am failing forward and learning 
I think I will head on over to my fellow classmates blogs and see if I can get some help there.

Hi Robin,
Just thought that I would drop by to say well done, its a great feeling to get up and running isn’t it. I am in this adventure with my Dad but putting the squeeze page up was down to me as he has named me the ‘tech’ guy(well girl). I felt pretty overwelmed at first but I got there in the end, apart from one glitch.
If you haven’t changed the nameservers over to the ones of your host then I will echo Tommy, that that is probably your problem.
I have put you on our blogroll, come over if you want and say hi, us newbies should stick together!

Hey Becky: Thanks for adding me to your blogroll.. I need to figure out how to put that on my blog… one of many things I need to get done!! And yes, sticking together is what will get us where we want to be quicker!! I can’t wait for Tuesday to get here for our next meeting…
I did finally figure it out and it was the name servers that was my problem… thanks for your help!!!

Hi Adam… yes, trying to “not sweat the small stuff” has been a struggle of mine for life in general but it is something that I have gotten better at doing!! I did finally get it all set up and have had 16 unique visits to my site so far… YEA!!!!

Hi Robin,
Reading your post, it maybe just a simple task of changing your ‘nameservers’ to your hostgators nameservers.
I have posted some more video tutorials on my blog, any comments you have would be great, I will also post a video link showing how to change your nameservers
Now it is a namecheap video, as I use them however it should point you in the right direction:
